Job Summary:
The Senior Project Manager, Strategic Initiatives, will be responsible for leading and overseeing complex, high-impact projects from inception to completion. Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of multiple strategic projects, adhering to defined scope, budget, and timeline.
* Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed work breakdown structures, resource allocation, and critical path analysis.
* Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
* Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial targets are met, providing regular financial reporting.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans to ensure project continuity.
* Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed.
* Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare regular status reports for executive leadership.
* Implement and champion best practices in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) as appropriate.
* Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and implement process improvements for future projects.
* Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 3 years managing strategic or complex initiatives.
* PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is required.
* Demonstrated expertise in project planning software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project).
* Strong understanding of various project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
* Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
* Experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional team leadership.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
* Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.
* Experience in the technology or financial services sector.
